Enjoy millions of spring flower bulbs at the Keukenhof Gardens Amsterdam from tomorrow March 19 till May 21 2009.
This year the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens celebrate their 60th anniversary. The theme for this years tulips garden is "USA, New Amsterdam, New York, 400", inspired by the 400th anniversary of the voyage of Dutch Henry Hudson to what is now Manhattan.
36,000 flower bulbs were planted last autumn to create a flower bulb mosaic in the shape of the Statue of Liberty to celebrate this 400 year relationship between the Netherlands and New York.
The entire Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam will be displaying more than 7 million tulips!
