A French tulip is a larger tulip than the normal tulips. French tulips are long lasting with sturdy stems exceeding 22 inches (55 centimeters).

If you think that you need to go to the Netherlands in order to find tulips, then think again.
Once of the countries I love the most when it comes to enchanting nature is Japan. Just a pity that the country is oh so expensive to visit over and over again.

If you visit Japan in Spring, then make sure you visit Kashiwa park. Not only for the famous "cherry blossom viewing", but also for the Akebonoyama Agricultural Park.
