Tulip Border

"Accidental" tulip border after a truck uprooted our hedge last winter.

Nothing more rewarding than enjoying tulip flowers anywhere you have a little plot of land that won’t be growing anything in early spring.

The above tulips we planted in winter after part of our hedge was destroyed when a truck accident occurred in our narrow street. Luckily nobody got seriously hurt, just that the hedge got partly destroyed.

Our local florist did plant some little new hedge bushes, but in order to cheer things up, we added some tulip bulbs during planting the bushes. Enjoying some beautiful tulip flowers whilst in the mean time the bushes will take their time to cover the destroyed fence area.

I took this picture of tulips because each pink tulip seems to be wrapped in its’ green leaves like a genuine tulip bouquet.

Tulip bouquet : one tulip at a time…

Unlike the keukenhof Tulip Gardens in the Netherlands that stand out for the abundance of spring flower bulbs, these individual tulips stand out for their poetic beauty…

Ok, I will never be able to capture the beauty of flowers in words, but let this picture of tulips speak for itself.

The first tulip flowers of this year…

Care for tulip plants

No further care for tulip plants needed: just sit back and enjoy how the tulip flowers will open in the next few days :-)
