Tulip Bouquet
Filed Under PICTURES OF TULIPS, Pink Tulips, Spring Flower Bulb, Tulip flowers | Leave a Comment
I took this picture of tulips because each pink tulip seems to be wrapped in its’ green leaves like a genuine tulip bouquet.

Tulip bouquet : one tulip at a time…
Unlike the keukenhof Tulip Gardens in the Netherlands that stand out for the abundance of spring flower bulbs, these individual tulips stand out for their poetic beauty…
Ok, I will never be able to capture the beauty of flowers in words, but let this picture of tulips speak for itself.

Blue Hyacinth

Blue Hyacinth flower for sale
Normally you can also see the bulb of the hyacinth in the pot it is sold, which I find more attractive, yet beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hyacinth perfume
Whether it is a garden hyacinth or a hyacinth bought in a pot for indoors, I just love the hyacinth fragrance! This perfume makes the hyacinth one of my favorite spring bulb flowers.
Because of the hyacinth’s pervasive perfume, the bulbs used to be very expensive. The bulbs are now grown in Holland and Great Britain and you can buy the hyacinth flower worldwide (they even sell hyacinths in Malaysia around Chinese New Year of which
the 15th night just passed), I really suggest you get this flower plant and enjoy the hyacinth perfume as well (again we should have ‘smellyvision‘ on the Internet…)
Garden hyacinth
Although hyacinths are available from November till April, the hyacinths in the gardens in Belgium and the Netherlands are only now emerging. (see our Spring flower bulb chronology)
200 years ago, like tulips, hyacinths were found only in gardens of very rich flower collectors, luckily that’s history

Do snowdrops need lots of sun
When you have them on your desktop, they don’t need any sun
In your garden, snowdrop flowers don’t need much sun either. Galanthus can grow under the bare branches of trees in areas that will be shady later in the year.
They do need a bit of light, so don’t plant them under evergreens, unless you have no other choice. My snowdrops grow also very close to my evergreens.
Snowdrop flowers do most of their growing before the late spring leaf canopy is big enough to create too much shade.
But like we said just now: this snowdrop desktop wallpaper can best be enjoyed without any sun on your screen!
