Head to your local florist and buy some red tulips to put under the Christmas tree.

Green tulip bud
Make sure to not only buy flowering tulips, but also buy a few tulips buds so you really feel like it’s an early spring in stead of early winter. And when your tulip flowers have bloomed, it’s time for the tulip buds to open.

For a complete tulip experience, add the perfect gift: a tulip bucket. This enamel bucket contains 6 tulip bulbs, compost and of course tulip growing instructions so anybody can enjoy blooming tulips in a bucket at home. The latter you can also order at your online florist.

Persian Pearl Tulip

Plant once, enjoy forever; that’s what you get when you plant the self multiplying Persian Pearl tulip.
The Persian Pearl tulip is a small early to mid spring tulip of about 5 inches – 12.5 cm tall or small. Persian Pearl has purple-red petals contrasting with a bright yellow center.
You can plant a layer of crocuses above your Persian pearl Tulips, as the tulips will only start blooming after the flowers of the crocuses have vanished. However, due to their small size, don’t layer Persian Pearl tulips with much bigger flowers than crocuses.
Strains of Persian Pearl tulips planted nearby each other will cross pollinate at will.
