Easter Flowers
Although Easter is already a long time passed, we keep on having lots of "Easter Flowers" in our garden. Yes, that’s the name we give to daffodils…

Why this nick name? Because daffodils are normally flowering around Easter. To be exact:
- Easter flowers fresh from the flower bulbs,
- Easter eggs found spread over the land
These are all symbols representing a new spring, time to start sowing seeds and planting plants in order to start the new planting season.
Just that the early Christian "invaders" needed to change these important pagan days, so they related everything as good as they could to Easter.
Having said that, we still will be looking forward to a good harvest and an enjoyable garden filled with flowers!

The most famous of the Easter flowers is the Easter lily. Lilium longiflorum has like the name says long flowers. Like any lily the flowers are kind of trumpet shaped. The Easter lily stands out with its typical :

- scented perfume.
You will surely find lilies in the flower shops or at any florist. Lilies are a great and popular gift when visiting people around Easter or any day in spring for that matter.
You can also plant lilies outside in your flower garden.
