Grape hyacinth

I didn’t see them at the florist yet, but in our garden there is against all odds already 1 cute little blue flower: the grape hyacinth (which should start blooming in full force after the crocus… nature has its own ways: flowers don’t read our Spring flower bulb chronology…)
Muscari armeniacum
Muscari are bulbs producing spikes of blue flowers resembling little blue grapes. That’s where the name "grape hyacinth" comes from. Yet muscari blooms much earlier than normal hyacinths, muscari flowers are much smaller and these flowers don’t have any perfume.
Growing muscari is very easy. Grape hyacinths are ideal to grow in pots and they are lasting: each year you have another pot of little blue flowers.

Paper airplane designs

I remember my brothers trying to imitate fathers’ designs but for some reason each and every time had to re-ask father how to build the paper swallow. So if you want a cheap and educational way to play with your kids, have a look at the 25 Paper Airplane Designs from a guy called Alex. The design is quite sober,but basically you get what you come for: instructions on how to make paper airplanes, What makes this site special is that the low tech paper airplanes are illustrated with high tech videos! Which is good as they make the diagrams much easier to follow. I wish all paper airplanes would come with a video though. The pages are more popular than you would imagine: the paper airplane design of the paper helicopter got already 15.000 votes. Apart from that there is more in the unusual category, and of course check out Alex’s favourites. This is a great way to both keep grown ups and kids happy, especially if they are from the male species 
ranging from the most simple to quite sophisticated airplanes. But there is really no age limit for making paper airplanes I find!
